Coffee Protein Smoothie

It's late afternoon. You've already had your lunch. And your second coffee was hours ago- no trace of that caffeine left in our system. You're getting hangrier by the minute. You need energy, like now.
Story of my life! In the afternoons when I need a snack and a pick-me-up, I like to make this smoothie because it combines the two. It's filling, tasty, and gives me just the pep I need when I start to drag. I use vegan chocolate protein, but it is also good with vanilla. The ingredients below yield just enough for an afternoon 'snack', but if you were to sub this drink for a meal I would double the ingredients- especially if you are having it for breakfast because a half cup of coffee isn't going to last very long 😉

Ingredients: 

1/2 banana (I freeze mine)
1/2 cup cold brew or iced coffee
1/4 cup almond milk
1 tsb almond or peanut butter
1/2 cup ice
1 scoop protein (what I use is linked below)

Blend and enjoy!
