My brother got married in Canton this weekend, so we instead of driving 4 hours down and 4 hours back the day of the wedding, we decided to make a weekend of it. We stayed in Asheville and explored the downtown area, ate some amazing food, spent a day at the Biltmore Estate, and did some driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway for some leaf peeping. It was such a great (albeit quick) trip and I'm so glad we got to see the beautiful foliage...then we came home and the leaves here had changed so it was double excitement!

All of these photos were taken at the Biltmore Estate. The house was obviously amazing, and just the thought that someone BUILT that to have a mountain getaway in the 1800s is mind-boggling. Then, you walk around the gardens and it gets even more insane. The grounds of this estate are nothing short of a fairy tale. It's like you are walking around in a Jane Austen novel...look at the photos below and tell me you can't imagine Mr. Darcy walking around looking for Elizabeth Bennet?? This was my first time visiting and being able to see it this time of year was just such an amazing experience.
