'Magic Trick' Skincare Routine

Nov 12, 2017

So if you follow me on Instagram then you may have seen where I shared in my stories about my little trick for a flawless complexion before vacation, so that I can wear as little makeup as possible! This trick will help even skin tone, plump fine lines/wrinkles, and give an amazing glow.

Step 1: Exfoliate. I give myself a microdermabrasion treatment with this machine (I am a licensed esthetician but it can be a simple process if you know what you are doing). Fear not if you don't have one of these at home lol, a simple exfoliation treatment will work just fine. We are really just getting rid of those dead skin cell layers so that our products will penetrate deeper and work A LOT better.

Step 2: Vitamin C Serum. If you don't already have Vitamin C in your regular skincare routine ADD IT. It is so beneficial for your skin- it helps with discoloration, evening out skin tone, protection (it's loaded with antioxidants), and gives a nice glow. I will not go without this in my daily routine. Always apply serum before your moisturizer because it contains a lower molecular weight, thus allowing its ingredients to travel deeper into your dermal (deeper) layers.

Step 3: PLUMP. For this step I use this serum that has Hyaluronic Acid in it to help plump my skin and fill in fine lines and wrinkles. Think of it as a magnet for moisture. You apply this and it draws in the water around it, filling in those troublesome areas. A must have!

Step 4: Moisturize. For this final step I apply this moisturizer to seal in the serums and add a barrier to my skin (over time this product does actually strengthen your skin's lipid barrier). The very first time I used this moisturizer I woke up with brighter skin (due to the turmeric in the product), and ever since then I've been hooked. I love it. It's 97% natural which I love and it has a light calming scent from natural derivatives. (I also use this eye cream after applying this)

Hope you found this helpful :)
