I think I get more excited to decorate for fall than I do for Christmas! It's the start to so many great things coming up in the season and it just makes my heart happy :)

I have definitely been getting my use out of this top! It's so easy to wear and (once again!) I love the modern day vintage vibes that Free People always nails <3 In other news...it's still hot here. Like summer hot. Now if I were on vacation or lived near the beach or, oh I don't know, had a pool, it wouldn't be so bad. But none of those are my reality and it's practically October so I would totally love it if the weather would just cool downnnn. I'm ready for scarves and layers and boots and jackets and thick cozy sweaters and drinking coffee on the porch when there's a chill in the air. Hopefully soon!

PS! I was ecstatic when I found this bag on Zara's site. It's such a great dupe for the $5000 Chanel Vanity case and it's under $40. I love the quality and the fact that it can be worn comfortably as a crossbody bag :)

First Fall Weekend

This was definitely the most fallish first weekend of fall I could have imagined...minus the 80* weather 😅 Saturday morning I went to the Vintage Market with my mom and grandma- it's the cutest little festival type deal at a gorgeous refurbished barn and field. They have all kinds of antiques, vintage goods, homemade candles, soaps, so many good things. I purchased some candles, soap, and some bunched dried lavender that I have on display in my closet space. We then went to our local Farmer's Market and got some fresh flowers and produce. I love our Farmer's Market! The vendors are amazing and there is always a good variety of literally everything. Cakes, pies, fruits, veggies, mums and pumpkins this time of year :) I actually got just about all of our porch decor at the market this year (I have a picture at the end of this post).

I just LOVE this time of year. You can call me basic or boring, I don't care haha. I think it's because I love change and since I live in the South we don't really get a weather change from about March to September-Octoberish, so when the fall things start happening I just get all giddy because it's just been hot and green for so many months! Now we get cooler days, orange and yellow leaves, fall decor, then Halloween, then Thanksgiving, then CHRISTMAS and it's just ever-changing and magical <3

Moto Leggings x Moto Jacket

I wore this exact outfit for a date night a few weeks ago (posted on IG) and knew I would be re-wearing it! No shame in my game, I love pieces you can get your use out of. Also, I was VERY reluctant to get these ruched open toe booties, but I am so glad I bit the bullet! I love them and they kinda add an edge to a look, just a little something that regular booties don't do :) I really like them with simple clean pieces.

Tonight I went to Wrangler night for Greensboro Fashion Week and I gotta say, I was quite impressed with some of their pieces! I always think Western when I think of Wrangler but they had some super chic looks. I shared some images on my Facebook page, click the icon on the upper right corner of my blog to look at them and you might as well like my Facebook page while you're there :)

Suede Moto & Ripped Denim

If there is one fall splurge you make this season, I highly suggest it be a quality leather moto. This one (last seen here) is the perfect neutral to wear with blacks, grays, beiges, berry colors, you name it. I love how versatile it is and I love the hardware on it. I wear mine with dresses, over the knee boots, denim, leggings with a tunic, so many ways you can wear a moto jacket! (See this post for my favorite black moto)

This weekend has been a busy one spent around the house! Our landscaping is finally done, my chandelier is hung in my closet space (getting closer to revealing that room), and I am officially (almost) done with fall decorating :) I love having pumpkins and warm colors everywhere this time of year, it's so inviting and cozy! Add in a pumpkin candle and warm pot of coffee, you've got a fall heaven combo <3 I love this time of year so. much!

My top sold out (wahhh) but here are two very similar others that I LOVE from
the same budget friendly brand: HERE & HERE

Do you ever have one of those weeks that just re-sparks your energy and motivation and reminds you to keep doing what you love?! This was one of those weeks. Between hanging out with my sister, having lunch with my fellow blogger bud, just chatting and getting coffee, going for runs and not dying of heat stroke after and just being able to clear my head- it's just been a very needed recharge. I hate when I get in a rut! I just get out of wanting to create content for this space, I lose motivation to even get ready and just put on gym clothes and call it a day. HATE THOSE TIMES. Thank GOD they don't last very long or this blog wouldn't see any new ideas or outfits haha.

Next week I will be the guest blogger at Greensboro Fashion Week and I can't wait to share the looks and styles from local designers and stores. I hate I missed out on NYFW and really regret not going to the Reward Style party to meet some of my fellow blogger babes, but I just couldn't justify the $$$ to promote other businesses and brands, ya know? I mean I know the PR meetings and lunches would make it totally worth it, don't get me wrong I do know that. But the main invites I received were to shows (which obviously I'm not famous, so I would not receive compensation) so this go round I just couldn't justify the cost. But darn I'm still kicking myself about that RS party and Baublebar event.  Oh well, no RAGRETS, right?? haha!

PS! I shared on Instagram a couple weeks ago but one of my favorite fall drinks is an iced coffee with one or two pumps pumpkin and room for cream. Saves on calories and money and tastes amazing.

Enjoy the weekend, they go fast
