Skin Care To Do List & TULA Beauty

Serum c/o | Moisturizer c/o

As you may or may not know, I am a licensed esthetician. I take my skin care routine VERY seriously. Like, very seriously- I may be lazy in other aspects of my life (ie: cleaning out my car, washing my hair...) but I am NOT lazy when it comes to my skin. I was thrilled when Tula asked me to do a product review, mainly because I am a product junkie and I love trying new things, but also because I love skin care products that have a science behind them! Tula uses patented technologies like probiotics to keep your skin healthy and help build up its own defenses. LOVE IT. In the few weeks that I have used these two products I haven't had any breakouts first and foremost (that's always my first concern when trying something new). My skin is balanced- I typically have combination skin but it has been normal and non-greasy in my normally oily spots. I have been applying the serum to my neck (tech neck over here) and I have noticed great improvement!

Here are the basic steps for great skin (that I use daily):

1. Cleanse X 2. Once to remove excess makeup, a second time to clean a little deeper.

2. Exfoliate 2-3 times per week (possibly more, depending on the strength of your product). The purpose of exfoliating is to remove that layer of dead skin cells that can prevent your product from getting into the deeper layers of skin. If you are not removing this layer of dead skin, you are basically wasting product.

3. Tone. This will remove any leftover oil, cleansing product, etc and prep skin for your serums/moisturizers. Depending on the brand, toners can also help bring your skin's pH back to a healthy level (which is muy importante for clear beautiful skin!)

4. Apply serums/ eye creams. You apply serums before moisturizer because they have a lower molecular weight than moisturizers, this therefore allows the product to sink in.

5  Moisturize...for obvious reasons :)

I hope my regimen helps you out a bit! Skin care is sooo important, don't wait to start using good products! Take care of your skin now and your older self will thank you for it 💓
