"August is like the Sunday of Summer..."

Today was one of those super hot-curls fall out of your hair-makeup sweats off when you walkout the door-days. It was awful, not going to lie. BUT, my sister and I did a little 'exploring' anyway. We went to one of my favorite spots in NC, Fearrington Village. Everything there is gorgeous, like straight out of a magazine gorgeous. They have the cutest book store, a fabulous coffee shop, and flowers everywhere. Can I move there???  We also drove to Chapel Hill but the construction and traffic was awful so we made our way to downtown Pittsboro. If you are in the area, I highly recommend you visit this little town. They have S&T Soda Shop (closed on Mondays, FYI) and when you step in there it's like stepping back in time 50 years. It's an old fashioned diner with the best milkshakes (the kind with whipped cream and a cherry, IN A TALL GLASS) on the planet. So good. We stopped at Phoenix Bakery and stocked up on chocolate chip cookies. Let me tell you, the cinnamon rolls are like the size of my head. I don't know about you, but I LOVE cinnamon rolls. Like, they are my kryptonite- that's why I didn't get one haha. I know I would have swallowed that thing whole. Anyway, it was a nice change of scenery and I'm glad we faced the sweltering heat :)
