To update my porch for spring and summer, I like to have lots of plants and colorful pillows. I lucked up and found the two accent pillows at a thrift store! I stumbled on the antique window (I have two others in my home) for $10! Such a steal. The smaller jar that my succulents are planted in (which are from my mother in law's garden) is an old Anthropologie candle jar that I didn't want to trash. Glad I found a cute new use for it. Most of my plants are perennials, so they should come back next year :) When I am picking out new flowers and greenery, I ALWAYS go for the ones that say 'hardy' on the plant tag haha. I do not have the greenest of thumbs and have found that I have the best luck with the stronger ones- like ivy, knock out roses, succulents, etc.
I wanted to do this post to show that you can design and style on a budget. You just need a good 'base', in this case the patio furniture. Everything else was super cheap or re-purposed. Get creative, use your imagination. It's trial and error, but when you get it right, you know!
