What I Wore {Road Trip}

Sep 14, 2015

Top, Forever 21 | Jeans, Express | Hat, H&M | Necklace, DIY. Similar Here & Here | Bag, vintage Coach. Available Here | Lips, Maybelline in Cherry Cherry Bang Bang

This is what I wore on our little trip to Boone/Blowing Rock on Friday. I did end up having to ditch the hat because it's so thick and warm though! I highly suggest going to H&M and hunting for this hat (it doesn't seem to be online yet, but keep checking. It's $34.99 for reference). It looks so similar to this Rag & Bone one that I have been lusting after for over a year, and the quality is amazing.

I am totally loving the flare trend. I feel comfortable in them and I feel that they are flattering for all body types. I do think they look best with a loose flowy top, as opposed to a more fitted top. Play with proportions and balance out the look. I have rounded up a few of my favorite budget friendly, peasant style blouses below as well :)

Road Trip {Boone + Blowing Rock}

Sep 12, 2015

I love little road trips to cute towns in my state. Each trip is a mini adventure and you never know where you'll end up or what you'll do and see. If you ever want a mini escape but do not have the time for an impromptu vacation, I highly recommend road tripping somewhere. When my husband and I were younger (and poor, haha), we would take a drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway on weekends and make a point to drive to Blowing Rock. I was excited to spend some time there with my girls today, it was so much fun :)

Crew Neck Sweater

Sep 7, 2015

Sunnies, Ray Ban | Bag, Givenchy | Shoes, J Crew. Similar Here | Watch, Michael Kors | Sweater, old. Similar Here & Here (50% off!) | Shorts, Old Navy

If you are looking for some great shorts, Old Navy has many, many options for around $12! I love their cutoffs, the material doesn't stretch out when you wear them and they feel soft, not stiff and awkward. If you're like me, you are probably wanting to buy all of the cold weather clothes, but for that price get them and put them in the back of your closet until spring! You can't beat it.

Speaking of buying all of the cold weather things, I am on the hunt for a warm wool camel coat! If you have any suggestions, hit me up! I want a longer length, lady-like, semi-fitted coat I can wear through fall and winter. I really want the one I saw on J Crew's site a few years ago, but they are not making the Lady Coat in camel this year for whatever reason :\

Thanks for stopping by & I hope you all are enjoying the long weekend! I am loving everyyyy second of it :) #justbehappy

xoxo, Sam
