Spring/Summer Beauty Must Haves: Drugstore Edition

Mar 23, 2015

OK. So I'll admit it- I am a brand whore. BUT! that doesn't mean that I don't appreciate the quality of items that may not be up to the monetary value of their...peers? counterparts?? The items I have listed are some tried and true old faves that can all be found at your local CVS or Wal Mart for under $15.

1. Tresemme Dry Shampoo
This is by far the best dry shampoo I have ever given a chance. I've tried the more expensive brands from Sephora/Ulta, but they either didn't texturize right, didn't smell right, or just left my hair looking dirtier than it did before I tried to de-oil slick it. This dry shampoo doesn't have an over-empowering smell and works great.

2. Neutrogena Build-A-Tan
For those of us who look like we are descendants of Casper. I have been using this for about two weeks (so this one's a tried and true new fave) and still like it. It doesn't streak and you do not have to apply it every single day. My fiance actually asked me if  I had been going to a tanning bed, made me feel pretty good that question did ;)

3. Crest 3D Whitening Rinse
Because I want my teeth to stay white but won't give up the drink of life (coffee). If you whiten your teeth this rinse really helps maintain in between whitening treatments. This particular one doesn't cause sensitivity for me.

4. Beach Blonde Sea Waves
This is the best hair product there ever was. I have mentioned before that I used this product during my teen years, before it was discontinued. THANK YOU SIR JOHN FRIEDA FOR BRINGING THIS PARADISE IN A BOTTLE BACK FOR MY HAIR.

5. Real Techniques Brushes
These brushes get the job done, are of great quality, and will not cost you fifty bucks a pop. (I would have pictured more of my RT collection above, but they're really dirty and you would probably judge me so hard.)

I hope you try out some of my picks & let me know if you like them!

xo, Sam
